Conferences/Community Labs

from: 1 May 2009 to 1 January 2013

As part of DodoLab's ongoing program of work we develop creative interventions for conferences and in collaboration with community research groups. These projects emphasize dialogue and knowledge sharing and are designed to be responsive to conference proceedings and to engage the public in public. At heart, these projects are about getting conversations going in unexpected ways and places and capturing and sharing ideas that might have otherwise remained private or held within a closed group. Our goal is to enhance conferences, instigate public discussion, to ask provocative questions and stir up conversations. While the fundamentals are consistent across these diverse projects, the tools of engagement and methods of recording and sharing results are unique to each specific project and situation.
