DodoLab will be in residence June 7-20, 2010, to actively engage with the public and to explore perceptions of Rijeka. We will be collaboratively examining ideas about the city and its future with a particular emphasis on the role of young people. DodoLab will be working with a number of people and organizations in the community including Hartera Music Festival, Rijeka City Puppet Theatre and artist Tomislav Brajnovic on a number of unique projects including surveys, poster campaigns and performances. As always, DodoLab's goal is to get people thinking and talking about their community in creative and meaningful ways.
The first phase of our program will be concentrated around the Hartera Music Festival (June 10-12). The second phase will coincide with the Musagetes Cafe (June 14-17) and the final phase involves youth publishing workshops documenting aspects of the city (June 18-19). Projects are site-specific, encourage alternative explorations of the urban space and use communication and social tools (such as posters, tagging, personal media devices, puppet figures and outdoor cafes) that are ubiquitous in the city.
Do the Ideas of Rijeka online surveys.
