This project was commissioned by the Unwrap the Research conference in Fort McMurray, Alberta. The goal of the project was to openly discuss the charged issues associated with the city with the residents who lived and work there. This simple survey and intervention used tags to collect hundreds of people’s thoughts and struggles, creating a space that allowed people to express the contractions, doubt and uncertainties they wrestled with regarding their relationship with this place so strongly connected with the oil industry.
