State of the Oceans is a public engagement and research project created with the Royal Ontario Museum’s Shad Gallery of Biodiversity that investigates the public’s perceptions and understanding of the current state of the world’s ocean ecologies and how they see themselves in relation to marine species and ecosystems. The aim was to get a sense of how ideas about nature and wildlife affect perceptions of both what is most at risk and how severe those risks as.
