Setting the Monkey Bars is a workshop about exploring and subverting the measures of success within academic institutions. Creating a space to talk about what qualities are awarded and encouraged by markers of success and what gets pushed to the margins, the workshop creates a space of play, speculation and collaborative research with participants. The workshop aims to bolster the resolve to take institutional markers of success with a grain of salt and to resist their tendency to shape the work that gets done.
